Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process pertains to the award of a contract by Forestry and Land Scotland for the provision of harvesting facilities at Cairnhead, located in Dumfries, Scotland. This initiative falls under the works category and was initiated through a tender process. The tender period commenced on 24 April 2020 and concluded on 1 May 2020, during which suppliers were invited to submit their quotes for the construction of ramps along a newly built forest road. The contract was awarded at a total value of £5,268. The contract was signed on 22 April 2020 and is currently active.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in construction and civil engineering, particularly those with experience in forestry-related works. Companies that can provide excavation services and supply materials such as stone for ramp construction will find themselves well-positioned to compete for this contract. By engaging in this local procurement process, suppliers can expand their portfolio and enhance their visibility in the public sector market.
