Purchase a low entry, rear wheel steer, 26 tonne electric powered refuse collection vehicle.

Lot 1
The council is looking into procuring an electric refuse collection vehicle (RCV) which shall be used for the uplift of domestic waste in the Glasgow City Council area. The successful supplier will bear sole responsibility for the delivery of the entire vehicle and all associated system and components. It shall be the supplier's responsibility to ensure that the whole vehicle complies with EU and UK legislation at the point of delivery and registration. C.E. markings with regard to The Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations, 2008/Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC); The Health and Safety at Work Act, 1974 Legislation; Any amendments, other legislative or directive in force prior to delivery and registration of the supplied equipment. Vehicle upon delivery must obtain a Vehicle Special Order (VSO) Certificate issued by the UK Vehicle Certification Agency (VCA) and Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) as required.. This Award was conducted utlising Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the Purchase, Maintenance and Repair of Heavy Vehicles and Plant - Contract Reference: GCC003831CPU under Category 3 - Purchase, repair, maintenance & parts of heavy vehicles
