Lot Information

Lot 1

QMS are looking develop a virtual tool for our Meat the Market theme of work. The primary use of the tool will be to demonstrate carcase grading for cattle and sheep using the EUROP scale. To do this effectively we would like the following features to be included: - Handling points for fat and conformation on live animals - A sliding scale to show variance in conformation and fat class of carcases - virtual lamb/cattle beast o Close up focus on handling points to highlight difference in grades o Comparison of grades with virtual animal side by side o Grades must include (but not limited to): For lamb: U, R, O, P for conformation and 1, 3L and 4H For cattle: -U, R, -O for conformation and 2, 4L and 5H - A sliding scale to show variance in conformation and fat class of carcases o Comparison of grades with carcases side by side - Breakdown of carcase into specific cuts o Link to still image of cut out of carcase o Info on cut Value of cuts The tool should be simple and clear for farmers to use.
