Recruitment of Members to Scotland's Climate Assembly
Notice Description
Recruitment of 100 people, using a postal civic lottery, to be members of the Assembly. Provision of names and contact details of members selected at random from the population aged 16 or over in Scotland who are eligible and willing to act as members of the Assembly and have consented to the sharing of their personal information. Details to be provided one month ahead of the Assembly's first meeting. Provision of a report, documenting the selection process and demonstrating that the process has been fair, transparent and open in three stages.

Lot 1
The Scottish Government wishes to commission a suitably experienced deliberative engagement specialist to recruit Members for Citizens' Assembly of Scotland: Scotland's Climate Assembly (the "Assembly"). It is anticipated that the contract will run for approximately 3.5 months, commencing as soon as is practicable. The Assembly is required to prepare a report and lay it before the Scottish Parliament by 28 February 2021, or as soon as reasonably practicable thereafter. The Assembly will bring together a representative selection of the adult (age 16 and over) population of Scotland to discuss and deliberate on climate change.
