The University of Edinburgh seeks notes of interest for an upcoming procurement for comprehensive servicing and maintenance pertaining to the existing domestic water treatment plant and associated supply system that serves the Outdoor Activities Centre, Firbush. Compliance with all the statutory requirements and legislation applicable to private water supplies will have to be ensured and maintained throughout the contract. The successful bidder shall employ competent and experienced engineers equipped with the appropriate testing instruments and qualified laboratory support to inspect, service, test, adjust, maintain and repair the variety of installations covered by the contract. The servicing schedule will include testing and maintenance tasks relating to: electrical control panels, filter vessels, piping and valves, rotating machines (pumps, blowers), UV systems, chemical systems (including dosing). All works must comply with British Standard BS 8580 (2010) "Water quality - Guide to risk assessments for Legionella Control." Accreditation to ISO 9001 (Quality Management) and ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) will be required as a minimum. The contract will be established for a period of 2 years, with two 1-year extension options conditioned by performance (2+1+1).. The intention is to issue a contract notice and full tender documentation for these services in the following month.
