The University of Edinburgh will be going out to market in the second half of the year to invite competitive tenders for a comprehensive planned and reactive maintenance and repair contract covering the fire hydrants, dry risers and associated equipment.

The University of Edinburgh will be going out to market in the second half of the year to invite competitive tenders for a comprehensive planned and reactive maintenance and repair contract covering the fire hydrants, dry risers and associated equipment. This contract will ensure that all the installations across the estate are maintained to the highest standard and in full compliance with all regulatory requirements by readily available, competent and experienced NSI Gold qualified engineers. The service provider will be CHAS and BAFE SP105 accredited (or equivalent). The contract will be established for a 2-year period, with two 1-year extension options, conditioned by performance (2+1+1).. It is expected that the tender documentation will be made available on Public Contracts Scotland-Tender (PCS-T) in the second half of August 2020.
