Notice Description

South Ayrshire Council wish to appoint a suitably experienced contractor for the construction of a new 6M GBP Sports Development at Craigie in Ayr, Scotland. This project will include significant civil engineering works (cut and fill) to the entire site to provide an engineered platform and proposed levels. Following the cut and fill exercise the contractor is required to construct an 8 lane 400m outdoor running track with synthetic surface to IAAF standards, track and field activities (such as long jump), complete with spectator grandstand, infield grass area and all associated land drainage, track and field drainage, milling areas, footpaths, pedestrian areas, floodlighting and fencing. The contractors programming to accommodate the restrictions on laying an outdoor running track is paramount. Adjacent to the running track will be a new Changing Pavilion leading into a 60m indoor warm up facility with the same synthetic surface to IAAF standards and a new all-weather pitch. On site car parking will be provided with all necessary access roads, drainage, external works and landscaping to accommodate the full development.
