Notice Information
Notice Title
East Airdrie Link Road Ground Investigation Works
Notice Description
The purpose of this PIN notice is to gauge market interest and inform the procurement route for the works detailed in this notice (ie. Open or Restricted, Single or multi tender) As part of the North Lanarkshire City Deal Programme, development of the Pan Lanarkshire Orbital Transport Corridor has regained focus. A vital component of this corridor is the proposed East Airdrie Link Road (EALR). The proposed scheme provides a new single carriageway route from Newhouse to Stand, limiting traffic on the existing A73 that passes through several settlements including Chapelhall, Airdrie, Stand and Riggend. The proposed route corridor will provide new road infrastructure to the east of the existing A73. A number of route options are currently under consideration. As the work will comprise ground investigation over an area of interest of the order of 10km in length, Contractors with relevant experience of successful delivery of major ground investigations are required. To assist us to gauge market interest in this project we require you to complete the questionnaire as attached and return by email to balfourd@northlan.gov.uk by 5pm 6 August 2020
