Notice Description
Tendering for a main contractor to manage the construction of 49nr new build houses of varying housing types on a greenfield site in the Glen Albyn area of Kirkcaldy. The site is under full ownership of Fife Housing Group. Planning submission anticipated end of September 2020. The main contractor to play a fundamental role, working with the Client and key stakeholders, appointed design team, local residents and local government planning authorities to deliver a first class housing development to seamlessly merge and enhance the local community. Principally, the project will follow a two-stage Design and Build procurement route (with novated design team) and works will involve all site establishment, installation of all infrastructure including utilities, diversion of existing service(s) and roads, parking and footpaths and associated external works; the building of 49nr timber kit houses to partial Gold Standard efficiency, and to work with the design team to ensure the purification of all planning conditions and the satisfaction of the various consents on completion. It is anticipated that the design team will be novated on the issuance of the stage 1 building warrant.
