Notice Description

This notice is a call for information and expressions of interest to repalletise an estimated 110,000 food waste caddies (c. 55,000 x 23 litre kerbside caddies and c. 55,000 x 5 litre kitchen caddies). There is also a need to repalletise and relocate, within the DZWP site, a number of pallets of 55 litre and 44 litre plastic boxes (estimated at 30-40 pallets) and plastic lids (estimated at 40-50 pallets).

Lot 1

Dumfries and Galloway Council (DGC) has a large number of food waste caddies in storage at the site of a new waste facility around 2 miles east of the town of Dumfries. The Dumfries Zero Waste Park (DZWP) is a partially developed site of around 4 hectares in size. The site design is currently being finalised with a build start date of May 2021 planned for works to recommence. This notice is a call for information and expressions of interest to repalletise an estimated 110,000 food waste caddies (c. 55,000 x 23 litre kerbside caddies and c. 55,000 x 5 litre kitchen caddies). There is also a need to repalletise and relocate, within the DZWP site, a number of pallets of 55 litre and 44 litre plastic boxes (estimated at 30-40 pallets) and plastic lids (estimated at 40-50 pallets). There is some urgency for this work to be procured and carried out in order to clear the part of the site currently occupied by the food waste caddies (and black boxes/lids) so that ground investigation work can be carried out. The target date to complete the work is by the end of October. Interested parties should therefore consider carefully if they are in a position to mobilise and meet the schedule indicated at the end of this document before submitting a response.. see attachements
