Framework for the provision of statistical advice and analysis

SCOTTISH NATURAL HERITAGE

This public procurement record has 1 release in its history.

Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process is being conducted by Scottish Natural Heritage, based in Inverness, UK. They are seeking to establish a framework for the provision of statistical advice and analysis, specifically aimed at enhancing their existing statistical services. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a key date for interested parties to submit expressions of interest set for 17:00 on Friday, 6th November 2020. The anticipated framework will operate for a maximum of 36 months and is categorised under the services industry, specifically relating to environmental protection, with expected costs below the regulated procurement threshold of GBP 50,000.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in statistical analysis, survey design, and bespoke training courses. Companies with experience in providing statistical services to governmental or environmental organisations will be particularly well-suited to compete. As there may be only two or three suppliers awarded under this framework, businesses that demonstrate creativity and a strong track record in similar projects are encouraged to express their interest and can benefit from this collaboration with a reputable public body.

Notice Title

Framework for the provision of statistical advice and analysis

Notice Description

It is important that NatureScot is able to underpin its science with good statistical rigour. This ensures that we are getting the most out of the data and our resources and that we can have confidence in the conclusions that we are drawing. We wish to enhance the statistical service currently provided by increasing the capacity on an ad hoc basis, as required, and to increase the range of skills covered. This will be done by setting up a framework agreement for the provision of statistical advice and support.

Lot Information

Lot 1

It is anticipated that much of the service will revolve around the design and analysis of survey or monitoring data, but there may be other service requests such as delivering bespoke training courses. The framework is expected to operate for a maximum period of 36 months and will likely include two or three suppliers (exact number will depend on the volume and quality of bids received). There is no guarantee of any volume or value of work being offered under the framework.. Please note that the anticipated value of spend under this framework will be under the 'regulated procurement' threshold of GBP50,000. This Prior Information Notice is being published to reach a wider potential field of interested parties. If formally invited to tender, suppliers will be invited directly - a formal Contract Notice will not be published (so please ignore the date at Section II.3).
