Award of Co-Design Curriculum Strategy
Notice Description
The global pandemic of 2020 has presented a significantly changed landscape for Scottish education in session 20-21, with schools challenged to adapt some of their practices at pace. It has presented a unique opportunity to review our curriculum offers, ensuring they are responsive, adaptive and digitally sustainable, whilst developing a blend of knowledge and skills in our young people. The programme will reflect this context.* 6 x Education Scotland Curriculum Design Regional Programmes - January - March 2021Each programme will involve a team that will include participants from the previous sessions; senior leaders from schools and local authorities; Education Scotland curriculum design leads from Regional Improvement Teams and HMI.Each programme will be delivered over four non-consecutive days to support the team in shaping, articulating and sharing the curriculum design journeys of at least four different settings. This will involve support in design thinking, in collaboratively creating case studies that capture and articulate the curriculum design journey and support for self-evaluation and identifying next steps. In total, the sessions will deliver no fewer than 24 case studies to be shared more widely through a Festival of Curriculum Design. The sessions will be co-designed with Education Scotland.* Consultation/support on a Festival of Curriculum Design - Autumn 2021Consultation to deliver an online festival to share curriculum design stories more widely, helping to shape the next steps in curriculum design in the short, medium and longer term for colleagues across Scotland.Contractor is expected to run sessions and through their work gather case studies for wider sharing.
