Notice Description

Award of Supply, Delivery and Commissioning of Aqueous Gel Permeation Chromatography Equipment

Lot Information

Lot 1

The University of Strathclyde has procured an Aqueous Gel Permeation Chromatography system. This system is tailored toward the characterization of water-soluble polymers and proteins (aqueous GPC) encompassing a suite of three detectors (refractive index, UV-vis, and light scattering). This will allow measurement of molecular weight, molecular weight distribution, hydrodynamic radius, and aggregation of these macromolecules. This will enable determination of the mechanism of water-based polymerizations, characterization of biomaterials, 3D bioprinting inks, drug delivery systems and polymers from renewable resources. Moreover, protein size, conformation and aggregation, as well as many other questions of fundamental and practical relevance will be studied with the aqueous GPC.

Options: The Contracting Authority reserves the right to request additional deliveries by the Successful Tenderer, either intended as partial replacement of suppliers or installations or as extensions of existing supplies and installations. The Contracting Authority may at it's sole discretion exercise this option.
