CROWN OFFICE AND PROCURATOR FISCAL SERVICE

This public procurement record has 2 releases in its history.

Summary of the contracting process

The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) based in Edinburgh has completed a contract award for Oracle Database Administration Services. This procurement falls under the services industry category, with a specific focus on social protection. The contract, valued at £189,750, was signed on 15 May 2021 and relates to the improvement and migration of COPFS's business-critical database environment to a more modern system. The procurement method used was a limited procedure due to technical reasons, meaning there was no public call for competition. The related delivery location for the services is Glasgow.

This contract represents significant opportunities for businesses with expertise in Oracle Database Administration, particularly those that can provide in-depth knowledge of complex database environments and infrastructure transition. Companies that specialise in database management services, technical consultancy, or offer tailored support for public sector clients would be well-suited to compete in future tenders. Given the context of ongoing recruitment challenges within COPFS, there may also be opportunities for firms capable of providing knowledge transfer and training support for new team members during the transition period.
