Orkney Islands Council ("the Authority") has a requirement for the provision of kerbside collections and associated services, the majority of these provided as a statutory requirement under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (As Amended), for domestic and commercial wastes arising on the islands of Eday, Sanday, Stronsay, North Ronaldsay, Papa Westray, Rousay Egilsay and Wyre within the Orkney Island Group.

Provision of Kerbside Collection Services for the Island of North Ronaldsay

Orkney Islands Council ("the Authority") has a requirement for the provision of kerbside collections and associated services, the majority of these provided as a statutory requirement under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 (As Amended), for domestic and commercial wastes arising on the island of Eday within the Orkney Island Group. The contractor will be required to provide "kerbside" collections, including the delivery of associated consumables to service users, and other services. In summary these services to comprise, the provision of weekly 'kerbside' domestic, commercial and litter bin residual waste collections, provide scheduled special collections of 'bulky' waste items and the supply and delivery of consumables to enable service provision and service user participation.. The new contract will be for a five year duration commencing 1st September 2021 to 31st August 2026 with an initial contract term of 3 years with the option to extend for a further 2 x 12 months. The value of the contract is estimated over the 5 year duration of the contract.

Renewal: Initial contract duration of 36 Months with an option to extend for a further 2 x 12 months at the discretion of the Authority.

Renewal: Following the initial 3 years this contract will be subject to 2 x 12 month options to extend which will be at the discretion of the Council.
