Notice Description

This Service Specification describes the requirements for a Safety and Security Service to be provided at DGHP's temporary supported accommodation projects at Springbells, Annan (6 properties) and Lewars Avenue, Dumfries (15 properties). Both projects are flatted accommodation and the projects at Annan and Dumfries have controlled access. There is an office base/facility for security staff within the projects at Annan and Dumfries. The residents are single homeless people and homeless couples (referred to within this document as - service users).

Lot Information

Lot 1

The security service will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the accommodation, immediate surrounding area and individual residences by providing security staff on site during the specified hours. DGHP Support staff will be present out with these hours. Specifically the security staff will be required to:- -Monitor all aspects of security in and around the accommodation -Act as a point of contact and respond to occupants' calls within the supported accommodation giving advice and information in line with agreed procedures -Take effective action to ensure maximum security for all occupants and to respond immediately to security breaches in line with procedures -Provide backup to support staff on a call out basis for serious incidents if required -Security staff will not leave the premises at any time during the specified security hours apart from when doing patrols on the site -Liaise closely and timeously with DGHP -Promote a professional and caring image at all times -Undertake patrols (every hour) within the project during security hours -Comply with all health and safety at work policies and procedures and guidelines -Record and report appropriately to DGHP. This contract has been awarded by Dumfries and Galloway Housing Partnership Limited. A subsidiary partner of the Wheatley Housing Group Limited.
