ASR are looking to implement a new type of train which will allow passengers to travel safety with bicycles. In the event of disruption on this line, ASR would like to procure a recovery service for the bikes as part of our wider onward travel strategy. ASR are therefore searching the market for transportation of up to 30 bicycles (tandems and recumbent bikes included) between Glasgow Queen St and Oban/Fort William.

ASR are looking to implement a new type of train which will allow passengers to travel safety with bicycles. In the event of disruption on this line, ASR would like to procure a recovery service for the bikes as part of our wider onward travel strategy. ASR are therefore searching the market for transportation of up to 30 bicycles (tandems and recumbent bikes included) between Glasgow Queen St and Oban/Fort William. Below notes the Hours of Operation required: Weekdays two return journeys 1) Glasgow - Oban Dept QST @ 10.33 & 16.36 2) Oban - Glasgow Dept OBN @ 05.21 & 14.41 Saturdays two return journeys 1) Glasgow - Oban Dept QST @ 10.33 & 16.36 2) Oban - Glasgow Dept OBN @ 05.21 & 16.11 Sundays 1 return journey 1)Glasgow - Oban Dept QST @ 09.45 returning Oban - Glasgow Dept OBN @ 16.11 Potential bidders must ensure they are able to visit all stops on the line with the exception of Corrour. This includes; Dalmuir, Dumbarton Central, Helensburgh Upper, Garelochhead, Arrochar & Tarbet, Ardlui, Crianlarich Oban, Tyndrum Lower,Dalmally,Loch Awe,Taynuilt,Connel Ferry Fort William, Tyndrum Upper, Bridge of Orchy, Rannoch, Tulloch, Roy Bridge, Spean Bridge ASR may require multiple stops to be required based on customer destinations, these will be known and notified upon arrival. During disruption of this line, ASR would require the supplier to deploy assistance and be at requested location within 2 hours of initial call out. When registering your interest please provide 1 A4 page case study illustrating how you would meet the above requirements. Failure to provide the case study, may result in ASR not considering your note of interest for this sourcing exercise. We would be looking to implement a contract from July 2021 - March 2022 however there will be an option to extend or discuss a longer term contract.
