Services to Support Engagement, Inclusion, Achievement and Attainment in East Lothian Schools
Notice Description
Award of a framework agreement with a range of suppliers for requirements to be delivered within school settings. These services may be provided in relation to Pupil Equity funding and will also include provision of interventions for individuals with varied and complex needs. East Lothian Education and Children's Services Departments are committed to ensuring young people are treated with dignity and respect with a clear focus on self-directed decision making by young people and sustainable outcomes for them. We have a focus on Inclusion, Achievement, Ambition and Progress for All. We all work together to Get it Right for Every Child and to ensure that all our children and young people are Safe, Healthy, Nurtured, Active, Respected, Responsible and Included. This framework agreement will enable East Lothian schools to compliantly purchase the range of services which will support the delivery of our vision and values which align closely with following values of the Key Priorities in the National Improvement Framework for Scottish Education 'Achieving Excellence and Equity': - Improvement in attainment, particularly in literacy and numeracy; - Closing the attainment gap between the most and least disadvantaged children; - Improvement in children and young people's health and wellbeing. - Improvement in employability skills and sustained, positive school leaver destinations for all.
Lot Information
Creative Engagement
Services which focus on engaging pupils and learning through creative activities. These may include but are not limited to, music, art, drama and dance.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
External Tutors\Additional SupportProviding a service where external personnel offer additional support to pupils on a group or one to one basis. Services may include but are not limited to; resilience coaching, literacy and maths champions and Nurture support. For clarity individuals who provide this service will not be employed by the Council, there services will be purchased.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
MentoringProviding a service which focuses on the support and encouragement of pupils to manage their own learning in order that they may maximise their potential, develop their skills, improve the performance and become the person they want to be. This service may include but is not limited to coaching, youth work and support and mentorship programs.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
Activity Based LearningServices which engage and encourage pupils to learn through participation in non-academic activities and experiences. These may include but are not limited to outdoor learning, sport and social activities.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
Pupil WorkshopsProviding a service which engages pupils on a particular subject, activity or project through discussion, performance or participation in class(s) dedicated to the project or activity. This service may include but is not limited to mindfulness, yoga, confidence building, nutrition, diversity and health and wellbeing.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015.
