Summary of the contracting process

The Highland Council, in collaboration with NHS Highland and High Life Highland, has initiated a procurement process for the "Interpretation Services Framework." This procurement falls under the services category, specifically targeting face-to-face and digital interpretation services across the Highlands and Argyll and Bute area. The framework is set to run for three years, from 2nd August 2021 to 1st August 2024, with the option for extension by up to 12 months. The procurement method employed is an open procedure, with bids submitted electronically by the deadline of 8th July 2021, at 12:00 PM.

This opportunity presents a significant avenue for growth, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that specialise in language services, interpretation, and translation. Providers experienced in delivering public sector services, especially those with qualifications in health and safety and registration under the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme, will find this tender particularly relevant. The anticipated annual expenditure from participating organisations suggests a projected budget of approximately £850,000, creating a competitive environment for service providers in the region.
