VisitScotland intends to award a contract to a creative team led by Culture and Sport Glasgow (the "Creative Team") to commission a programme of innovative and creative artistic works and performances to be delivered in Scotland in 2022 (the "Project"). The Project has been selected by VisitScotland and forms part of a UK-wide festival of creativity and innovation in 2022, which has the working title Festival UK* 2022 (the "Festival"). The Festival is being curated, managed and promoted by Festival 2022 Limited in collaboration with VisitScotland, Creative Wales and Belfast City Council and is funded by the UK Government, the Scottish Government, the Welsh Government and the Northern Ireland Assembly.

Procurement Information

VisitScotland has followed the negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notioce or prior information notice, on the basis that the relevant services can be provided only by the selected Creative Team for the reason that the aim of the procurement is the creation or acquisition of a unique work of art or artistic performance (being the grounds for use of this procedure as set out in Regulation 33(1)(b)(i) of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015). The Project that is to be delivered by the Creative Team will comprise of a programme of innovative and creative artistic works and performances, which falls within the definition of a unique work of art or artistic performance for the purposes of Regulation 33(1)(b)(i).
