Summary of the contracting process

The ACHA Social House Decarbonisation Fund is a procurement initiative led by Argyll Community Housing Association Limited, located in Oban, UK. The project involves undertaking a range of works related to energy efficiency improvements across multiple properties, specifically in areas such as external wall insulation, underfloor insulation, mechanical ventilation, and solar installations. The tender is currently in the planning stage, with the bid submission deadline set for 30 June 2021, and the bid opening scheduled for 28 June 2021.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for contractors specialising in energy efficiency, building works, and renewable energy systems. Companies that provide insulation, renewable heating technologies, and construction services would be particularly well-suited to compete. With an emphasis on quality and cost, as detailed in the award criteria, businesses with proven experience and relevant certifications such as PAS 2030:2019 and TrustMark will be in a strong position. Furthermore, local contractors may find this initiative advantageous, as it aims to reinvest in the community and provide benefits for local residents.
