Notice Description

The University of Strathclyde's Business School (SBS) is considering opening a centre in Kazakhstan to deliver the University of Strathclyde's MBA (the Programme). Interested parties should note services to be provided under any future arrangement may not be subject to the obligations of Public Contract (Scotland) Regulations 2015 and that the publication of this notice does not imply that these Regulations apply.

The University of Strathclyde's Business School (SBS) is currently considering opening a Centre in Kazakhstan to deliver the University of Strathclyde's MBA (the Programme). The triple accredited (AMBA, EQUIS, AACSB) Programme will be developed and delivered by Strathclyde Business School academics. Students who successfully complete the programme will receive a University of Strathclyde degree. In return for a percentage of the programme fee, the delivery partner will - with the support and direction of Strathclyde Business School Glasgow campus staff - administer the programme locally. Primary responsibilities include the provision of suitable facilities from which to operate and staff to recruit and market the programme. The partner will also financially administer the programme including the collection of tuition fees and provide local pastoral and learning support to the students. This centre will assist SBS in the local delivery of the MBA programme but the potential exists for supporting delivery of other postgraduate and executive education programmes in the future. To assist in a market scoping exercise SBS would like to invite expressions of interest from organisations or individuals who are based in Kazakhstan and could see themselves as suitable partners to deliver this initiative. Experience of managing higher education programmes, managing the operations of an educational establishment/ centre or familiarity of how international academic centre operation is managed is essential. It is desirable that the partner has a good understanding of the educational regulatory landscape in country and the Government approvals and licenses that will be required to allow the centre to open and operate..
