Notice Description
A ground investigation is proposed with exploratory holes in the vicinity of the Grange Burn, near South Shore Road, and at the mouth of the Avon River in the town of Grangemouth on land owned and operated by the petrochemical refinery Petroineos . The scope of the investigation is likely to comprise: - 11 No. inspection pits to clear services to a depth of 1.2mbgl at the proposed test locations - 1No. cable percussive borehole to a depth of approximately 45mbgl - 3No. cable percussive boreholes with soil coring (wireline) follow-on to depths of approximately 65mbgl, 75mbgl and 85mbgl - 3No. openhole drilling to facilitate CPT follow on, - 3No. CPT to approximate depths of 65mbgl and 2x75mbgl - 4No. windowless sampler boreholes to depths of approximately 4mbgl
