Notice Description

We require an experienced contractor to provide a detailed inspection and report of the cliff faces at Knockan Crag NNR. The inspection must be undertaken by a suitably qualified Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist with a minimum of 5 years' experience of this type of work. All rope access must be undertaken in accordance with the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association's (IRATA) International Code of Practice. The contractor will be required to provide a report on the investigation, which will summarise the potential failures identified, results of any stability analysis / modelling and a risk assessment. The risk assessment will identify potential failures based on the modelling undertaken and provide an outline summary of any remedial works recommended. If remedial works are identified then the consultant be expected to assist with the tendering of the works and with the supervision of these on site. Contract duration will be over 4 years with the first inspection completed by March 2022. Remedial works, if required, would then commence in winter 2022/23, followed by inspection in winter 2023/24 and remedial works in winter 2024/25.
