The National Manufacturing Institute of Scotland (NMIS) sought to secure a suitably qualified supplier with the capability and capacity to supply and deliver a high temperature material 12-off ingots made of stainless steel 316L
Lot Information
Lot 1
The University required a single supplier to supply and deliver twelve (12) stainless steel 316l Ignots to the AFRC. The successful supplier is required to demonstrate consistency of the Ignots chemical composition and structural integrity, while ensuring the Ignots are machined to the dimensions specified. The successful supplier will provide the materials to the requirements of the tender specification, which will include but not be limited to; - The ingot dimensions shall be 300mm in diameter and 900mm in height; - All ingots shall be supplied in as cast-condition, sandblasted and with both ends machined with a specified parallelism; - There must be no presence of cracks and surface defects on the final materials upon delivery to site. - The supplier's solution will include the delivery of the materials to the AFRC, based in Inchinnan Scotland.
Options: The Contracting Authority reserves the right to request additional deliveries by the successful tenderer, either intended as partial replacement of supplies or installations or as extensions of existing supplies and installations. The Contracting Authority may at it's sole discretion exercise this option.
