Notice Description

A ground investigation is proposed consisting of Electro Magnetic Locating (EML) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey of all exploratory hole locations prior to breaking ground (Type B PAS 128 survey). GPR survey at one location (GPRC201) to identify the extent of buried obstructions. 28 No. inspection pits to clear services to a depth of 1.2mbgl at the proposed test locations. 14 No. cable percussive boreholes to anticipated depths between 10m and 35m bgl.8 No. cable percussive boreholes to be followed-on using rotary coring techniques to anticipated depths of between 16m and 40m bgl to obtain between 6m and 30m of intact rock cores. 8 No. windowless sampler boreholes to anticipated depths of between 3m and 5m bgl. 3No. cone penetration tests with dissipation testing to anticipated depths of between 10m and 15m bgl. 3No. cone penetration tests using piezo-ball attachment adjacent to the conventional CPTs to anticipated depths of between 10m and 15m bgl. In-situ field vane tests carried out within cable percussive boreholes. Exposure of Finnart oil pipeline at 1 No. location. Associated testing both laboratory and Insitu for soil properties and contamination; Topographical survey of borehole and trial pit locations levels; Provision of factual report on investigation; Working near major, ecologically-important watercourses with environmental constraints.
