Notice Description

This requirement includes the provision of voice, data and mobile device services. The scope of this contract currently includes: - 241 phone handsets (voice and SMS services only, primarily used within Care services by a range of staff) - 2230 Android and iPhone SMART phone devices (generally with 2Gb or 5Gb data allowances per month) - 849 tablets (generally with 5Gb or 10Gb data allowances per month) The contract is for an initial three year period and may be extended for a further period of 12 months.

The requirements were defined across a range of business and technology areas: -Flexible access to data and applications with cellular and wifi connectivity options for majority of devices (as staff increasingly work across office, home and field-based locations). -Support for an increasingly flexible work style demanded by staff and leads (and devices and connectivity that supports this work style) that includes an increasingly diverse range of mobile devices. -Secure device and network access across all Group mobile applications and platforms, with improved management and enrolment from device purchase to decommissioning (integrated device security and provisioning). -Improved support for video conferencing services, with the relevant data bandwidth to support these applications. -Increased flexibility of staff contracts. -Ensuring that geographic coverage for cellular services supported Group in all service areas (urban/semi-urban/rural) -Fewer restrictions on data usage for staff (given that data usage varies considerably across similar roles) - at present contracts must specify 2,5 or 10Gb allowances in advance. -Data and reporting information for business and team leads (costs, users, usage were primary requests) to improve visibility of staff and team services and capabilities. -Improved access to devices and device types to support an increasingly diverse staff service profile requiring mobile voice and data services.
