Summary of the contracting process

The Transport Scotland organisation is currently managing the procurement process for the 'Transport Scotland Communication Support Services Contract - Modification'. This initiative falls under the services industry category, with a focus on communication support services necessary due to the ongoing recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. The contract is situated in Glasgow and is actively proceeding through the modification stage. Significant dates include the contract signing on 5th October 2016 and an extension of the contract's duration by three months, lasting until 30th June 2022, allowing Transport Scotland the opportunity to conclude the ongoing procurement competition in compliance with The Public Contract (Scotland) Regulations 2015.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in communication support services, particularly those that can demonstrate resilience and adaptability in response to the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Companies like The BIG Partnership, which are already engaged in delivering large-scale communication projects, would be well-positioned to compete for ongoing contracts within this procurement process. The need for continuity and expertise in communication strategies during this critical recovery phase further amplifies the potential for growth in this sector.
