The procurement process for the refurbishment and alteration of the Court of Session building, specifically related to the XLPY Redevelopment project, was undertaken by the Scottish Courts and Tribunals Service based in Edinburgh. This process is categorised under 'works' and is currently in the award stage, with a contract value of approximately £2,785,728.11 GBP. The tender for this project was initiated through a further competition under the Crown Commercial Services Construction Works and Associated Services Framework (RM6088), with the formal contract signed on 21st June 2022. The location of the project is Edinburgh, particularly focused on creating office spaces within the former Signet’s Library accommodation.

This tender presents significant opportunities for construction firms specialising in refurbishment and building alteration works, particularly those experienced with NEC3 contracts. Contractors offering services in building installation and completion work would be well-suited to compete for this project, as it includes complex elements such as the installation of a new mezzanine floor, structural alterations, and various lift installations. Businesses prepared to engage with the specifications outlined can find substantial growth potential in participating in this publicly funded project.
