Notice Description

The investigations comprise of works within a major pertochemical site and include Attendance of all staff, including plant fitter, at INEOS FPS Site Induction, Nominated "Performing Authority" trained staff (2) to undertake permitting of works for all exploratory hole locations. Electro Magnetic Locating (EML) and Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey of all exploratory hole locations prior to breaking ground (Type B PAS 128 survey). 20 inspection pits to clear services to a depth of 1.2mbgl at the proposed test locations, including breaking out of hardstanding and extension to 2m bgl by hand auger where required. 10 cable percussive boreholes, 3 to anticipated depths of 10m bgl and a further 7 to depths of between 40m and 60m bgl. 4 cable percussive boreholes to be followed-on using rotary wireline soil coring techniques to anticipated depths of up to 85m bgl to obtain between 6m and 30m of intact rock cores. 2 cable percussion boreholes to be followed on from approximately 40m bgl to prove 6m of rock. 5 cone penetration tests with dissipation testing to anticipated depths of between 45m and 65m bgl.5 cone penetration tests using piezo-ball attachment adjacent to the conventional CPTs to anticipated depths of between 45m and 65m bgl. In-situ testing to include field vane and self boring pressuremeter tests carried out within cable percussive boreholes.Standpipe installations are required at all locations with diver units installed at selected locations.Geotechnical and laboratory Testing.
