NSS is commissioned by the Scottish Government to deliver the vaccination solution for citizens in Scotland to be able to view, schedule & reschedule appointments. Key to this requirement is the use of Google Maps APIs to schedule citizens to a geographically appropriate clinic. Specifically, as part of the National Vaccination Scheduling tool where there is an urgent need to calculate the travelling time from a residential postcode to the nearest vaccination clinic. This algorithm is always applied, but acutely relevant when scheduling the elderly or vulnerable/challenged citizens
Procurement Information
This is a direct award to meet the additional demands of the Scottish Health and Social Care sector during the current Covid-19 pandemic and is on the basis of competition being absent for technical reasons in line with Regulation 33(1)(b) of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015
