Art Transportation Services Framework: PIN - Request for Information
Notice Description
National Galleries Scotland (NGS) has an existing multi supplier, multi lot Framework Agreement for the Provision of Art Transportation Services which is due to expire. The existing Framework Agreement provides for the packing and transport of fine art, objects, entire exhibitions and exhibition fixtures and fittings as well as for services such as technical assistance, project management and technical advice, insurance and fine art storage facilities and is currently structured into 6 Lots. NGS is looking to engage with the market. The purpose of this PIN is to gauge interest as well as seek views and information from the market place in relation to a potential future contract opportunity. It will also inform the procurement strategy ensuring that any procurement route subsequently selected is attractive to the marketplace and will provide a competitive tendering environment for efficient delivery of any future contract requirements. Suppliers should note that this PIN does not constitute any guarantee or work, it is purely for market research purposes.

Exhibition Transport International - EU and Worldwide
To provide exhibition transport including co-ordination of the complete logistics package associated with exhibitions from collection from lenders to return at the end of the exhibition worldwide.
Exhibition Transport UKTo provide exhibition transport including co-ordination of the complete logistics package associated with exhibitions from collection from lenders to return at the end of the exhibition for predominantly UK loans exhibitions but with occasional loans from within the EU.
Single Transfer Transport UK, EU and WorldwideTo provide fine art and object packing and transportation services and occasional storage including but not restricted to the UK, EU and world-wide.
Transport for Specialist RequirementsTo provide fine art and object packing and transportation services for works requiring specialist handling and removal (for example large sculpture, works containing hazardous substances etc.).
Exhibition Transport UK Excluding Airport RequirementsTo provide exhibition transport including co-ordination of the complete logistics package associated with exhibitions (excluding air freight requirements) from collection from lenders to return at the end of the exhibition for predominantly UK loans exhibitions but with occasional loans from within the EU.
Single Transfer Transport UK, EU and Worldwide Excluding Airport RequirementsTo provide fine art and object packing and transportation services and occasional storage (excluding air freight requirements) including but not restricted to the UK, EU and worldwide.
