Notice Information
Notice Title
Installation of Monitoring Boreholes at Shewalton Landfill Site
Notice Description
Introduction North Ayrshire Council ("NAC") are looking to notify the market of this future contract opportunity. The procurement exercise will be carried out via Public Contract Scotland-Tender. It will be published on Public Contract Scotland-Tender week commencing 16th May 2022. NAC welcomes expressions of interest from suppliers, by completing the attached questionnaire and returning to murraythompson@north-ayrshire.gov.uk before close of business 6th May 2022. Scope NAC requires two monitoring boreholes to be installed at Shewalton Landfill Site, 4-6 Metcalfe Place, Shewalton, Irvine KA11 5DF. This is a closed and fully restored landfill site that accepted waste classed as household and commercial at the time of disposal. The anticipated start date is 20th June 2022 until 19th August 2022. During installation waste may be encountered and if so, the bidder will be required to dispose of this at a suitably licenced site. The monitoring boreholes at Shewalton Landfill Site are to be drilled to a depth of 12m. Access to the location of the replacement boreholes is over rough terrain and through a concrete underpass for one of the boreholes at Shewalton Landfill site. It is essential that a site visit takes place prior to submitting a bid. A drilling log and report is to be supplied to NAC specifying depths of liquids and materials encountered. The site is to be left in a tidy condition. If for any reason you are not interested in this procurement, for example, you do not have a bid team available to meet the timescales mentioned above, you do not have the resource / operational staff to deliver the contract during the timescales mentioned above, or if there are issues related to the length of the contract, please advise. If timescales are the main issue, I would be most obliged if you could provide alternative dates for consideration by NAC. Procurement Procedure Taking into account the available budget, it is anticipated that this procurement will be conducted as a Quick Quote.
