Notice Description

Summary of works To value 23.5ha of standing timber, organise a standing sale, obtaining the best financial return for the client and manage the harvesting and haulage contract on behalf of the client. The area to be harvested form's part of an 89.3ha block in Dyke Forest of predominately Sitka Spruce known as Tranche 4 which we intend to harvest over 3 phases in consecutive years this quotation relates to the first phase of this operation. An amendment to the Long-term Forest Plan (LTFP) has been requested from Scottish Forestry and should be in place shortly. A site visit with either Darrell Stevens or Ben Oliver Jones will be required as part of this quotation process to outline specific environmental considerations within the LTFP, contractual specifications and methodology. Timing of works Ensure the harvesting contractor follows the proposed sequence of felling as detailed on the attached map in order to protect the salmon interests on the River Dyke. Works will need to be completed from within 300m buffer of the river from the start of August to the end of September 2022. Compartment areas out with the 300m buffer can be harvested from the start of October to the end of December with haulage being completed by 31st January 2023.
