1. The Scottish Government wishes to commission a feasibility study to identify the available options for supporting the development of negative emissions technologies (NETs) in Scotland with reference to the policy positions established within the 2018 Climate Change Plan and the December 2020 Climate Change Plan update (CCPu).

Lot 1
Required outcomes and key deliverables. This project will consist of five key elements: a. Review and synthesis of existing evidence b. Stakeholder interviews c. Analysis of costs, benefits and effective public support d. Mapping of pathways for the delivery on NETs e. Final presentation of findings Following synthesis of existing evidence and stakeholder engagement, the consultancy must produce an interim report for the Scottish Government's internal use. It should summarise the evidence gathered to that point to enable input by the CCUS policy team into the drafting of the Energy Strategy refresh, next Climate Change Plan and Bioenergy Action Plan taking place throughout 2022
