Carrier Chiller Maintenance Contract
Notice Description
The University of Edinburgh has appointed a supplier to maintain business critical Carrier chillers. An agreement is required to ensure the chilled water systems located in various university premises remain in operation, as these are critical for the core business of the University.
Lot Information
Lot 1
Under regulation 6(1)(b)(ii), a contracting authority may award a public contract without seeking offers in relation to the proposed contract where the works, supplies or services can be supplied only by a particular economic operator because competition is absent for technical reasons. The ongoing operation of these chillers is critical to the core business of the university. As the equipment manufacturer, the supplier is able to supply parts on short notice at any given time and provide the most effective fault tracing and rapid diagnostic capabilities. This is critical due to the range and widely varying age of the University Estate Carrier manufactured chillers.
Options: Remedial parts
