Notice Information
Notice Title
Award of LUSI0105 - DCES Alarm and Insulation Works
Notice Description
We are looking to expose sections of existing underground district heating pipework where faults have been detected on the alarm system at approximately 19 separate locations across the network, the works will be to install new electrofusion welded joints and to calibrate the alarm panel following the works. To access the pipework will require excavations in varied surfaces from open fields to town centre roads and must be coordinated with the Local Authority regarding road permits and traffic management plans. The contractor must have experience in these kinds of works and be able to demonstrate that they can work safely alongside live services. In some congested service locations we would expect safe working practice proposals to allow for vacuum excavation. Following completion of the works the contractor will be responsible for updating the network installation drawings to reflect any new works completed.
