Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves Fife Council, a regional authority based in Glenrothes, UK, which is seeking services for "Lot 12 Learning & Teaching: Classroom Training." This procurement falls within the social protection and education industries. The current stage of the procurement is the award phase, as it has been completed, with the contracts signed on 9th November 2021 and 11th February 2022, respectively. The procurement was conducted via a selective method with a total value of £73,940 allocated to the contract awards, which focused on providing classroom training through multiple call-offs under a Dynamic Purchasing System.

This contract presents significant opportunities for growth, particularly for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in educational training services, safety interventions, and crisis management. Businesses that possess the necessary expertise to deliver innovative and personalised training solutions that cater to educational settings, particularly those working with youth or in specialised education environments, would be well-positioned to compete. The community engagement aspect, highlighted by the involvement of the Community Trade Hub project, underscores the importance of local suppliers who can offer tailored training experiences that resonate with the needs of learners in Fife.

CFM0083: Safety Interventions & Classroom Culture Training

CPI Safety Intervention training incorporates trauma-informed and person-centred approaches. The programme is the perfect solution for professionals working in health, social care and education who need to prevent and/or intervene in crisis situations. With a focus on prevention, it also teaches staff de-escalation skills as well as non-restrictive and restrictive interventions.

CFM0069 The community Trade Hub Project

Fife Council is interested in working with appropriately skilled and experienced training providers who can offers Levenmouth Academy learners the opportunity to move beyond the 'alternative curriculum' providing learning experiences that are flexible, personalised and promote lifelong learning in a contextualised skill for a work setting. These skills for learning, life and work are delivered in a very specialised working environment, not unlike the working environment young people would encounter as they enter the employment market. The school does not have the facilities or the capacity to offer this uniquely bespoke learning experience for our young people.
