The Strategy establishes aframework of Five Missions Mission 1: Unlock the value of planning data Mission 2: Deliver an end-to-end digital planningexperience Mission 3: Create the conditions for digital to flourish Mission 4: Use digital tools to drive collaboration andengagement Mission 5: Embed a culture of digital innovationScotland's planning sector is ready for change. It is ready to lookforward and become digitally enabled, to help planning realise itsfull potential. This bold vision for digital describes a way forwardthat is both aspiring and achievable for Scotland's planningsystem and by working alongside policy reform will deliver realchange. It sets a long-term, compelling ambition for a Scotlandembracing the opportunities digital brings.Our Vision reflects the key role digital will play in ensuring theplanning service becomes an enabler of sustainable development,supporting our net zero interests and bringing people together todeliver great places.We require an Enterprise Data Architect to lead on the designand development of a new Cross Service Data Frameworkwhich will support the new Planning Scotland Gateway portalbringing the services, tools and data together as a single point ofentry to information and services. The Cross Service DataFramework will unlock the value of data in the digital planningsystem.The Planning Scotland Gateway will become the home for the newdigital services, data and tools used in a future planning service.It will surface these to users including citizens, investors,developers, communities, architects and planning agents or otherpublic sector bodies.The Enterprise Data Architect is responsible for: the definition of the SG Digital Planning data strategy, andwill describe why and how the data that drives DigitalPlanning will be managed and used. This is a green fieldopportunity to design and develop a new data solution forDigital Planning working with overall Data Lead in Digital Planning tocommission a supplier who will prepare the SG PlanningData Strategy oversee the design of multiple data models and have abroad understanding of how each model fulfils the needsof the business provide advice to delivery project teams and oversee themanagement of the full data product life cycle have responsibility for making sure that Digital Planningsystems are designed in accordance with the dataarchitecture Setting out the overarching data architectural principles forthe portfolio Influencing the planning sector in Scotland to adopt,interoperability frameworks, and data standards; Managing internal teams, suppliers and delivery partnersto ensure their technical and quality obligations are met;. Communicating complex data concepts to non-technicalaudiences; Ensuring solutions comply with prevailing legislation,guidance, and organisational values.
