See Statement of Requirements doc for full description Following Peatland ACTION guidance, best practice and techniques. Stabilise bare and eroding peat to prevent further erosion and degradation. Re-vegetate bare peat to promote recovery of blanket bog. Reprofile old eroding faces of peat banks, hags and gullies. Slow water runoff to prevent further erosion by building low vegetated peat bunds in reprofiled gullies and at the bases of reprofiled banks and hags. Stabilise bare peat to halt degradation and erosion using seed and geotextile. Translocate sphagnum moss into new small pools to promote recovery of blanket bog.
