Notice Description
The contract is for the graphic design of Historic Environment Scotland's official souvenir Guidebooks and other retail publications. Historic Environment Scotland manages 336 Properties in Care (PICs). These are monuments of national significance, most of which are open to the public. About 75 PICs are staffed, allowing for the sale of guidebooks and other products. There may also be a requirement for the design of similar publications such as area guides, booked based around historical themes or children's publications.

Lot 1
The contract is for the graphic design of Historic Environment Scotland's official souvenir Guidebooks and other retail publications. Historic Environment Scotland manages 336 Properties in Care (PICs). These are monuments of national significance, most of which are open to the public. About 75 PICs are staffed, allowing for the sale of guidebooks and other products. There may also be a requirement for the design of similar publications such as area guides, booked based around historical themes or children's publications. Printing and binding of our publications is not included in this contract, but we request that the contracted design agency provide supervision on press when each new publication is printed for the first time. There will also be a requirement for an ongoing consultation process with the agency to discuss directly relevant issues such as picture quality, paper stock and print technology.
Renewal: After the initial 2 year period, there will be an option for extending the contract for a further 2 year which would be reviewed annually.
