Provision of a Bacs solution to enable the SG Payments service to route Bacs payments into the Bacs network: Currently there are multiple ways of making and taking payments across government and the public sector. Existing systems and processes work, but aren't very joined up or equipped to handle such a significant growth in transactions in the years to come. This has the potential to cause problems and cost money if action isn't taken. That's why the Scottish Government (SG) Payments project is building a new SG Payments Service, designed to meet user needs. The SG Payments project will deliver a common payments service that will standardise customer processes, support interoperability and improve management information. Bacs payments will make up the vast majority of the transaction traffic, as it is the cheapest and most commonly used payment method. The SG Payments project require a Bacs solution to enable the SG Payment service to route Bacs payments into the Bacs network..
