The provision of an interim Information Governance Officer for the following duties. Draft and maintain/review periodically data protection and Information Governance documentation across a complex portfolio. Establish as a subject matter expert/first point of contact for the operational use of the Data Protection Act 2018, UK GDPR, and Information Commissioner Office's guidance supporting the Ukraine data service. Support the Team during discussions with Data Controllers and Data Processors (e.g. Local Authorities; COSLA; NHS/NSS etc); with a particular focus on the documentation required to legally share and process datasets and ensure this is done safely, securely and legally. Liaising with data protection specialists in SGLD and other specialists and professionals as required, including the Scottish Government data protection team and legal advisers of our delivery partners, as well as SOLAR.
