Orkney Islands Council (the Authority) wishes to engage a suitably qualified and experienced consultant to establish an economically advantageous delivery model for the Authority's museums and cultural services offering to the public. The aim of this project is to create a focused service that will add to the economic, social, and environmental wellbeing of Orkney, recognising that the Museums and Cultural service must operate in an environment of serious financial constraint for the foreseeable future. This is to be achieved by establishing a roadmap which details the following overarching aims; - Sustainable Cultural Services portfolio. - Increased income through donations and revenue generation. - Improved service to residents and visitors. - Improved condition of collections and assets looked after by Orkney Islands Council on behalf of the people of Orkney.
