Notice Description

North Lanarkshire Council wish to appoint a competent and qualified contractor for the provision of a Measured Term Contract for Asbestos Removal and Encapsulation Services for Domestic and Non-Domestic Properties 2023-2025, at various locations within the geographical boundaries of North Lanarkshire. - This procurement exercise is being carried out as two lots consisting of: . Lot 1: Corporate Properties (Non-Domestic) and Lot 2: Housing Properties (Domestic).

Lot 2 for Asbestos Removal and Encapsulation Services for Domestic Properties 2023-2025 at Various Locations within North Lanarkshire

The removal of various types of Asbestos materials from Council Domestic Properties. . Alterations such as cutting and forming holes in existing Asbestos materials which are not to be removed. Encapsulation of Asbestos materials which are not to be removed. . Replacement of Asbestos materials which have been removed with suitable non Asbestos alternatives. . The construction and subsequent removal of suitable enclosures around the above and other operations in accordance with the Specification. . The notification of the appropriate statutory enforcing authority regarding the removal or encapsulation of any asbestos. . The provision of documentation to the Councils Asbestos Control Officers with regard to the removal and disposal of hazardous substances. . The contract involves a mixture of works, both licensed and unlicensed and notifiable and non-notifiable. It should be noted that NLC reserves the right to issue any work in respect of this contract to any other suitably qualified, experienced and competent contractor/partner organisation for any category of works.. Candidates should read and refer to the ITT, failure to comply with these instructions may result in a Candidate's submission being rejected. - Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in Regulation 58 of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015. - DEADLINE FOR QUESTIONS IS TUESDAY 29th AUGUST AT 17:00.
