Notice Description
There is much work to do to understand the target state for the Corporate Services Directorate General, and the journey that gets us there. A major transformation of SGs core HR & Finance services is well underway, but this is just the beginning. A range of initiatives delivering short , medium and long term gains need to come together within an overall portfolio of work, drawing upon the skills and contributions of many parts of DG Corporate and beyond.The main duties of this role are:> Build a Business Architecture for Corporate Services aligned to SG and DG Corporate strategies (50%)o Establish the current state Business Architecture that builds an understanding of the entire suite of corporate services from a business perspective, current strengths and weaknesseso Shape the future state Business Architecture encompassing organisations and users, services and processes, locations, business capabilities, relationships to produce the Target Operating Modelo Build a view of priorities and the rationale and identify opportunities within existing business models to create efficiencies, synergies and performance improvementso Create a Business Architecture Repository, a library and knowledge base for the Corporate Services Business Architecture including 'to be' blueprints etc.o Collaborate with colleagues across DG Corporate to deliver the above> Provide business architecture & business analysis expertise to:o Support the preliminary assessment of corporate change demand and agreed prioritieso Produce and support development of robust business cases for corporate transformation programmes and projectso Provide business architecture and analysis services into the delivery of these programmes and projects (30%)> Build, lead and continuously improve the business analysis and business architecture capabilities within the Directorate (20%)
