Award of Senior Procurement Capability and Best Practice Specialist
Notice Description
Circa 12 month position, to support the delivery and governance of the Scottish Government Procurement Scheme of Delegation.Manage and support the Delegated Purchasing Officer (DPO) network in the Scottish Government. Provide training, advice and guidance on Scottish Government procurement procedures to develop procurement competency across the DPO network. Embed and review the scheme of procurement delegation governance procedures to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations and Scottish Government procurement policy, including peer review of tender documentation per publication.Dependant on experience - Potential to support the wider team objective of delivering the Central Government Sector the Procurement & Commercial Improvement Programme (PCIP) national programme. Requiring researching, developing and implementing procurement best practice, process, systems and tools, including but not limited to policy, procedure, methodologies and technology in order to improve efficiency.
