Safety inspections and reporting of all memorials within all operational and closed cemeteries in the local government area of East Dunbartonshire.

Lot 1

The service includes: 1. Basic independent check/review of the Client's Stage 1 and 2 documents. 2. Provision of the following Stage 3 work within all operational and closed cemeteries in the local government area of East Dunbartonshire: 2.1 Safety inspections and surveys of all memorials prioritised according to risk. 2.2 Survey work according to the relevant standards with clear records and reports of assessment, categorisation, recommendation, future monitoring, and photographic evidence. 2.3 Affix safety notices to memorials that are classified as dangerous and require immediate attention or repair, or to alert the public that a memorial is unstable. 2.4 Re-inspect memorials that are classified as unstable but unlikely to cause immediate danger, only where the re-inspection date falls within the service period under the contract. 3. Where, following inspection and on request by the Client, a memorial is classified as dangerous and requires immediate attention and temporary action: 3.1 Cordon around the memorial and fall-zone area using suitable pins and hazard tape. 3.2 Where safe to do so, lay flat a memorial prior to repair.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 8 and 9 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016.
