Notice Description

This contract will require the supplier to upgrade/replace up to 14 comms racks within HMP Kilmarnock. For each rack replacement this will involve (but is not limited to); a survey, detailing everything in the rack, removing everything from rack, remove the old rack, supply and fit new rack, re-install everything that was removed and patching in as per initial survey detail. Typical Racks may contain: -OM1 Fibre Panels (and patch cables), -Cat5e patch panels (and patch cables), -Voice Panels, -Network Switches, -Servers, UPS and Media Converters. All these items will need to be carefully removed and installed in a new, larger rack and connected back to correct connections. If any cabling is faulty this must be repaired or replaced. This work would need to be co-ordinated with the establishment and will involve out of hours work.
