Carriageway Retexturing
The use of a technique to provide a surface texture on roads that have lost their anti-skid properties.
Renewal: 12 months
In-situ RecyclingThe existing road material that is to be recycled does not leave the construction site and is treated in place through a mechanical process that involves various stages: pulverisation to produce a granulate to the desired depth of existing material; mixing with binding agents; and finally repaving and compaction. A new standard surface course is required on top of the recycled material.

Surface DressingThe provision of a new surface texture which also seals the road against water penetration by spraying the road with bitumen and overlaying with granite / whin chippings.
Renewal: 12 months
Slurry SealSlurry seal is the application of a mixture of water, asphalt emulsion, fine aggregate and additives, including a polymer, to an existing asphalt pavement surface. The placement of this mixture on existing pavements is intended to seal the road and provide texture. For use mainly in residential streets.
Renewal: 12 months
Re-treadRetread is an in-situ recycling process which reconstructs the defective carriageway to a depth of around 75mm, without the need to remove material from the site. For use on minor routes.
Renewal: 12 months
Thin surfacingThe provision of thin bituminous wearing courses usually laid around 20 - 30mm thick.
Renewal: 12 months
Lot 7 - Joint Repair / Overband Sealing of jointsThe process entails the provision and laying of Bitumen or Thermoplastic Rolls or Strips over the defective cracks on the wearing course or the pouring of Bitumen compound into open cracks in the road surface.

Tenderers with a Failure Score of 50 or above on the DBAi system will be deemed to have evidenced satisfactory financial stability. The Tenderer shall co-operate, facilitate, support and assist the Authority in the provision of this information. In the event the Authority is required to provide information to any person as a result of a request made to it under such Act and/or codes, the Authority shall adhere to the requirements of such Act and/or codes in disclosing information relating to this Agreement, the Project documents and the Contractor. (ii) that references may be sought from banks, existing or past clients, or other referees submitted by the tenderers; (iii) for the disclosure of such information with regard to the outcome of the procurement process as may be required to be published in the Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union in accordance with EU directives or elsewhere in accordance with the requirements of UK government policy on the disclosure of information relating to government contracts.
